about

This is a special mini album of three scores that Gavin composed for the Compass College of Cinematic Arts in Michigan in 2014. Each score has been remastered from the original recording sessions and mixed into three suites, which feature all of the final cues composed for the college's "core shoot" that year.

The core shoots were educational short films produced in-house by the Compass College faculty and alumni, with freshmen students helping out as crew members by way of learning how films are made. In other words, it was a kind of "on-the-job" training for new film students in order to provide them with a work method to use as a guide for shooting their own projects.

NOTE: This is the studio-quality 48kHz/24-bit edition. The full-range 48kHz sound is only available if you download the FLAC, WAV or AIFF versions. To import into iTunes, the artist recommends you download the AIFF version and convert to Apple Lossless within iTunes. It is best to avoid all other formats like MP3, Ogg, and AAC.
